• The WAA experience focuses primarily on bringing out your creativity. Technical welding expertise is usually a secondary objective. Don’t expect to be a proficient welder in one session. That takes time and experience. It’s both skill and art.
  But you WILL leave with a finished product that you design and build with as much technical help as you need.

• It’s PERSONAL: Contact Grant a few days in advance to plan a customized experience to satisfy your interests (welding expertise vs. artistic expression) scope of project, materials and budget.

• It’s SPIRITUAL: There is a subtle spiritual component of all art, especially welding. We aim to help you discover divinity within.

• SCHEDULING: Because we are often juggling lots of balls, we try to stay flexible for scheduling the session till your arrival.

• MATERIALS: Random pieces of metal are provided for your creative experience. If you have something specific that you would like to build, you should call first to determine if we have the right materials. You may be asked to go on a scavenger hunt or purchase your needed metals. It’s often at no additional cost if you contact a local auto repair garage. It also extends your creative experience to before you arrive. That can be a lot of fun.

• Plan to Wear:

  • Closed toe shoes (preferably leather, not synthetic materials)

  • Full length pants (preferably canvas jeans)

  • Long-Sleeved shirt

• Payment is in cash or credit card only (no Paypal or Venmo). The hourly rate is only $50/hour regardless of number of participants. I am sensitive to your budget. I keep the price this low because I love doing it. Just be aware that the more the people and the more complex the project, the longer it takes.
